👤 Reporting: Direct report to CEO/Co-Founder

🎯 Key Responsibilities

🎯 Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

  • Design and execute recruitment strategies for technical and non-technical roles
  • Build talent pipelines for specialized positions (AI/ML engineers, platform architects)
  • Develop structured interview processes and technical assessment frameworks
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting from sourcing to offer negotiation
  • Establish employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives
  • Track recruitment metrics and optimize hiring efficiency

🏗️ Organizational Design & Structure

  • Design scalable organizational structure for 35-person expansion
  • Create detailed job descriptions and career progression frameworks
  • Establish cross-functional team structures and reporting hierarchies
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and decision-making authorities
  • Plan departmental growth and resource allocation
  • Implement communication protocols for growing team

📊 Performance Management

  • Design and implement goal-setting frameworks (OKRs recommended)

  • Support managers with performance management training

🤝 Employee Relations & Culture

  • Preserve and evolve company culture during rapid scaling
  • Handle conflict resolution and employee grievances
  • Plan team building events and employee engagement initiatives
  • Implement internal communication strategies
  • Develop remote work and hybrid policies
  • Conduct stay interviews and exit interviews

⚖️ Compliance & Operations

  • Ensure labor law compliance across all jurisdictions
  • Manage employment contracts, NDAs, and legal documentation
  • Implement workplace policies (harassment, safety, code of conduct)
  • Handle visa/work authorization for international hires
  • Maintain HRIS systems and employee data privacy
  • Conduct regular policy reviews and updates

Required Qualifications

Experience & Education

  • 5-8 years of progressive HR experience in tech/startup environments
  • Proven track record scaling teams from 15-75+ employees
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
  • Startup experience essential - understanding of fast-paced environments

Technical Competencies

  • HRIS Implementation: Experience with HR technology platforms
  • Recruitment Technology: Proficiency with ATS systems and recruiting tools
  • Data Analysis: Ability to track, analyze, and report on HR metrics
  • Employment Law: Strong understanding of labor regulations and compliance

Core Skills

  • Systems Thinking: Ability to design scalable processes and frameworks
  • Project Management: Experience managing multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels

Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification
  • AI/Tech Industry Experience: Understanding of technical roles
  • International HR: Experience with global hiring and remote teams
